Step 1: Install FoxyProxy

First, add the extension to your preferred browser:

Step 2: Generate Your Proxy Credentials

Before configuring the browser, you need to generate your proxy details on the ProxyApp dashboard.

  1. Select Country: Choose the specific country you need (e.g., United States, United Kingdom).
  2. Select whether you want it to be sticky or not:

    • Yes: Select Yes if you want the IP address to remain the same for roughly 5 to 10 minutes. This is recommended for logging into accounts or browsing sessions.
    • No: Select No for Sticky if you want a completely new IP address for every single web request.
  3. Generate: Click the Copy All button to copy your entire proxy string.

Note: You can generate as many unique HTTP proxy credentials as you like, but they will all draw from the same bandwidth balance you purchased.

Step 3: Add the proxy to FoxyProxy

Now, you need to paste your credentials into the extension.

  1. Click the FoxyProxy icon in your browser toolbar.
  2. Click Options.
  3. Select the Proxies tab.
  4. Click the Add button.

How to fill in the boxes: The generated proxy you copied from ProxyApp is one long line separated by colons (:). It looks like this: IP_Address : Port : Username : Password

Example String: 51.81.70.174:8000:MBkSaRClc0:6kIdVVZcF8-country-NL-session-nMVBSO15

  • Proxy Type: Select HTTP.
  • Hostname: Paste the first part (the IP address). Example: 51.81.70.174
  • Port: Paste the second part. Example: 8000
  • Username: Paste the third part. Example: MBkSaRClc0
  • Password: Paste the long final part. Example: 6kIdVVZcF8-country-NL-session-nMVBSO15

Step 4: Enable and Verify

  1. Save your configuration in FoxyProxy.
  2. Click the FoxyProxy icon in your toolbar again.
  3. Select your new proxy from the dropdown list to turn it on (it will usually show the name or color you assigned to it).
  4. Navigate to https://ip.me to confirm that your IP address has changed to the location you selected.
